LEVI was saved from Arlington Animal Shelter on 27th April 2015.

LEVI is currently being fostered with a family with other GSDs, cats and young children and he is doing great.

His foster parents tell me that he is a great puppy; he is not dominant, loves to be around people, good with kids and other dogs, curious with cats but not aggressive; he is playful but also easy to correct; scared of stairs; he was nervous first day at our house and would not settle down so I slept on the couch downstairs so I can correct him; that is something to consider for people who do not understand; sometime dogs need time; he is doing great now, choosing his own spot to sleep and being really quiet and happy, I would say a very polite fella. Really good puppy.

As with all dogs, they need time, patience and understanding in order for them to adapt to their new environment. LEVI has already been through so much at such a young age, he is a big boy and will be clumsy and may not even understand how big he is.

LEVI will need a family that has the time and commitment to spend with him training in basic and advanced obedience. This will help strengthen the bond and help both LEVI and his family learn each others personalities more and body language.

LEVI needs an active family that have the time and ability to take him on lots of adventures, maybe sign up for some canine sports and ensure he gets enough mental and physical exercise.

LEVI is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, tested negative for heart-worm disease and is micro-chipped. LEVI has an estimated date of birth of 22 October 2014 and at the time of rescue he weighed 66.00 pounds.

LEVI is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450
