KRISTOF was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 20th April 2015, being over-looked as he doesn't have the standard GSD Erect ears, he has what is known as "soft-ears"

KRISTOFF was excited when he saw the other dogs in the rescue and couldn't wait to get amongst them. KRISTOFF has one of those larger than life personalities, he is a happy dog and just loves running, playing and chasing the other dogs. He doesn't pay much attention to the smaller dogs, but when he does he is gentle with them, but much prefers to roll around and wrestle with the bigger dogs.

KRISTOFF is very affectionate and likes to keep me in site and will stay close by just watching the world go by, if he isn't playing. He is a pleasure to be around and is just always happy. We do not have cats in the rescue so I cannot say how he would be with them. Although I have not seen him with children, I have no doubt that as long as the children respect him, not treat him like a toy and give him his space when he wants it, he would be their best friend.

As with all German Shepherd Dogs, they need to have their mind and body exercised and challenged. Mental and physical exercise, both equally important are an integral part of having a happy, healthy GSD. So, KRISTOFF will be needing an active family who can take him on adventures and let him take in the sights, smells and sounds the world has to offer. A family that will take him and try out sports, go on hikes, trips to the lake and of course road trips.

KRISTOFF walks good on a leash, and is responsive. I believe he would be very easy to train. He would absolutely benefit from basic and advanced training with his new family. This will enable a stronger bond and allows both family and KRISTOFF to learn more of each others personalities and body language.

KRISTOFF is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, tested negative for heart-worm disease and is micro-chipped. RICKY has an estimated date of birth of 17 October 2013 and at the time of rescue he weighed 62.70 pounds.

KRISTOFF is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350

KRISTOFF is currently located in TEXAS and we use PETS LLC to provide safe and caring transport from Texas to meet up locations along the east coast. PETS LLC charge $175 per dog. This fee is paid directly to PETS LLC and is in addition to SCOTT 's adoption fee.
