ABNER was saved from Fort Worth Animal Shelter. He had been attacked by a dog and his left eye was hanging out of the socket. Thankfully, the shelter vet and staff acted quickly and put the eye back into the socket. GaDaH had him taken to Alvarado Veterinary Clinic, where he was checked over by one of their highly experienced surgeons, who said his eye-sight in that eye had been saved. ABNER had some other cuts but all have healed up now.

ABNER is a very cute, sweet, all loving young boy. He loves to give kisses, to get cuddles and to follow you around everywhere. He loves playing with his puppy friends and is confident being with the bigger adult dogs.

ABNER is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, micro-chipped and has been on heart-worm prevention since being at GaDaH. His date of birth is estimated at around May 2014.

Pure puppy, and Pure Love, ABNER is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption donation of $350.

We do allow out of state adoptions, however, we require the family to travel to San Antonio to spend time with the dog/pup to be sure personalities are a good match before traveling home together to start their perfect forever life.  

*** As cute and adorable as ABNER is, she is going to grow into a large dog, she is a confident girl and will need a strong personality to lead her.  Puppies are HARD work, they need training, they need guiding, they CHEW, the poop, they get up to mischief.

 Please do NOT consider adopting a puppy of any kind unless you have the patience, dedication and time to give them.  When German Shepherd Dogs hit around 9 months - they get the energy of ALL the super hero's rolled into ONE - are you going to be ready for that?? Can you channel that??? If not, please consider an older dog, they are just as fun and not as hard work.
