JERSEY is a stunning black beauty whom we think is a Black Mouth Cur mix. She has an estimated date of birth of 21 August 2013 and weighs around 75 pounds. She is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped.

JERSEY is great with other dogs and loves to play with her siblings still here at the rescue, KEN, JERSEY and SCARLETT. She is a big strong girl who loves to run, play and wrestle. She would love a family that hikes, goes to the lake, the beach and lots of car rides to exciting places. When JERSEY see's you she wags her tail so hard that her whole body wags with it - she is extremely affectionate and loving.

Although well mannered, JERSEY does jump a little when she gets excited and she does need basic and advanced obedience training. she is very quick to learn and eager to please, although at first she can be a little wary of new people, but once she has decided that you are trustworthy she will love you like no other.

JERSEY would benefit a family that has the time to work with her to gain her trust, to train with her so everyone knows and understands the boundaries and expectations and to love her and give her the wonderful, exciting life that she deserves. JERSEY is great with children and just wants to share in her love and can be very gentle. 

We do NOT have cats at the rescue so are not able to comment how she would behave around cats, but she has not shown any kind of prey drive. So any interest would most likely be on a curious level.

JERSEY is very sweet and affectionate and deserves a family that can give him the love and happiness that this stunning girl desires.

JERSEY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450.

JERSEY is currently located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine, however, we post in states along the east coast where transport is available.this gives our precious saved souls more exposure and once adopted, we are able to save more dogs from the kill shelters in Texas that get 3 days before they are killed.
