Meet CHAKARRON!

Chakarron was saved from a high-kill shelter in Calfornia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine on Saturday 19 July. We post our available dogs in states across the East Coast and Canada to reach as many people as possible in hopes of finding perfect homes and families. We do not transport dogs — families must come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine to meet and, hopefully, take home their new best friend.

FOSTER FAMILY

On 2 November Chakarron was lucky to go and live with a foster family, who were adopters of one of his friends when he travelled up from California. I will update with pictures and more information when he has settled in.

We’ve been calling him Fawkes (Fox ) for an easier sound to get used to answering. he’s the happiest little dog, and definitely the most affectionate dog in the world. will give kisses 24/7 if allowed to he’s still working on recalling a bit in general, but he’s following the other dogs’ lead pretty well! he’s good with the cats - a little curious about them, but takes the queues from the cats when he’s being a bit much for them. he’s very good in the kennel at bedtime or left on a dog bed for the night. he’s still working on being on the leash, but he gets the hang of each thing more and more each day. he definitely will make the perfect addition for a family.

Chakarron is a very active, fun loving, affectionate, inquisitive boy. He needs an active lifestyle with lots of adventures so he can let the hound side of his nature explore and take in all the smells, sights and sounds the world has to offer.

Adoption Fee: $550
Location: Foster Family - Augusta, Maine
Families must complete and submit an adoption questionnaire. Once approved, you’ll be invited to schedule an appointment to meet CHAKARRON.
