BUTTERS was saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 30 October 2023.

BUTTERS is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of January 2023 and on has an estimated weight of 40 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind.

We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue  YouTube channel  and  photo albums on our Facebook page  to see a LOT of pictures and videos.

BUTTERS is a sweet, affectionate, loving girl, she is full of energy, but loves to snuggle.  She is responsive and well mannered, although as being at the rescue she does crave for attention and will jump, nothing that a bit of training won't fix.

She has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving.

She is looking for an active family who can give her the lifestyle that she needs to lead a happy, healthy life. 

She does like to wrestle when playing with other dogs and can be vocal in play (which is cute). She is looking for a family  that wants a best friend to take on adventures and live a fun, happy life.

We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.

BUTTERS is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption fee of $350.

Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application.

HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7.

FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily.

CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats.
