SEEKOO is spayed,rabies, core vaccines, dewormed, monthly preventatives and microchipped. She has tested negative for the 3 tick diseases and although she tested positive for heartworm disease she has received treatment and is doing great. She has an estimated date of birth of 5 March 2018 and weighs around 50 pounds.

If you do not have the lifestyle for the husky breed, please do not consider putting in an application.

SEEKOO is a fun, lively, active, mischevious girl. She has had pups and was a great mother, now she wants a family of her own to give her all the love and adventures that she deserves. True to husky personality she likes to tell you what she thinks and she lives to engage in conversation. She is a loving, affectionate girl who I believe would make a great family addition. Huskies are high energy and so we are looking for a family that has the lifestyle to suit her needs, lots of walks, hikes, trips to the beach, lake and just lots of fun adventures to keep her actively fit and mentally stimulated.

We have not seen Seekoo around cats, livestock or children, so we expect families to take precautions when introducing her to new things. Her personality does not leave any concern as to her not being friendly with children, as long as they give her space, respect her and not treat her like their toy!

SEEKOO is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue, located in Sebec, Maine for an adoption fee of $550. Families MUST travel to the rescue in Sebec, Maine for meet and greet at time of adoption

Our process takes around 2-4 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.

Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks.

This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of saving all of the dogs we do, the running, upkeep and maintenance of the rescue.       Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada. All that is needed to take dogs into Canada is a copy of the adoption contract (receipt) and current rabies for pups over 3 months of age.

ALL Dogs are LOCATED AT THE RESCUE IN SEBEC, MAINE.  We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx 8 miles) and approx 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations  and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend.
