QUINN  was transferred from a vet tech friend who needed help finding homes for the dogs she has saved from euthanasia in Texas. She is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm and tick-disease tested; Negative and micro-chipped. She is approximately 18 months old. She has had her front leg amputated and so is a TRI-POD!

QUINN is the sweetest girl ever, she is full of love and affection, she is always happy, she is great with all dogs she has met and the puppies just absolutely adore her and she plays great with them, letting them crawl and climb all over her. She lives amongst dogs of all ages and sizes and shares food bowls and has never shown any signs of aggression.

She rides great in the car and loves to go on road trips and adventures, having lost a leg does not stop this girl and she often stands on her back legs, making sure you don't forget she is there. She lives in the large communal room in he kennel building with several dogs and the puppies and uses the dog door to get in and out. She has never had any accidents inside so I would presume she is house trained, however, she might need to learn to let you know she needs to go out if you do not have a dog door.

She would benefit from an active family, short hikes, trips to the beach and lake are all things that she would love and benefit from. She is a social girl so would welcome play dates with other dogs and lots of people. We recommend all families work on basic and advanced training with their new best friends. By working together boundaries and expectations can be set and both  QUINN and her family can learn each others body language and personalities which in turn will form a stronger bond and mutual understanding.

QUINN  is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $500.

This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food and anything else that is needed.

If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the APPLICATION tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 2-4 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.

Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks.

We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx 8 miles) and approx 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations  and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend.
