PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ ALL THE INFORMATION PROVIDED TO LEARN ALL ABOUT HANNAH, HER LOCATION AND ADOPTION OPTIONS.

HANNAH is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm treated, tested negative for tick diseases and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth or 9th October 2014 and in October 2016 weighed around 52 pounds.

HANNAH originally came from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs generally have just 3 days to be saved before they are killed due to the thousands of stray dogs that sadly are in desperate need of life of the streets and ultimately a home of their own.

HANNAH is a very shy girl who has clearly been through a lot in her short life. She is very skinny and will need to continue to be fed a high quality grain free food, with immune support supplements (honey, coconut oil ect) to help her body inside and out.

HANNAH is forming a strong bond with her foster-dad and is slowly coming out of her shell. She shares a foster home with TAZER another rescue dog who is confident and pushes her wanting to play, she has not been aggressive but lets him know she is not interested and to leave her alone.

She walks nicely on a leash and does well in a car. Her foster family has cats and she has barked at them, this could be as she has not seen them before or just that she doesn't like cats, she has not tried to get to them, just barked at them.

HANNAH needs an extra special loving, caring, patient family that understands she has been through a lot and will need some time and understanding to learn to trust and gain confidence with her new family, home and eventually their friends. Given time, once she has gained her confidence she will become the happy confident German Shepherd that is hiding inside her, she will want to go on road trips and adventures and see, hear and smell all that the world has to offer. She is only around 2 years old so has a lot of energy building up bursting to get out and let her run free, knowing she is safe and loved.

As with all dogs going to new homes, HANNAH will need basic and advanced obedience training. By the family working with her on this it will help to form a strong bond, lay down boundaries and expectations and allow her and her family to learn each others body language and personalities.

We currently feed SPORTMIX Wholesomes Chicken Meal & Rice Formula, a 4* (a per www.dogfoodadvisor.com) GRAIN FREE food along with pro-bioitics and immune support supplements listed on the available dogs page!

HANNAH is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $500. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food and anything else that is needed.

If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this gorgeous girl a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the APPLICATION tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 2-4 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.

Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks.

HANNAH is currently located with her foster family in Texas. Transport can be booked for states along the east coast. This is a cost of $175 and is in addition to the adoption fee.
