All of our adoptable pets are located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine.

STORMY came to the rescue with his two siblings, Pixie, Smokey and his mother Taffy. He is neutered , rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and microchipped. He has an estimated date of birth or 18 April 2021. We cannot say for sure what breed he is, so we expect families to do their own research on his look and size and decide what breed you think he is and if you have the lifestyle suitable for his needs.

STORMY has only been at the rescue now for 7 months (January 2022) and has settled in well. He is great with other cats and is often snuggling up to his mum, TAFFY, of one of the other cats. He enjoys their company and does enjoy playing and chasing around. When Stormy arrived he was very fearful and would hide often, and although his siblings soon came round, he preferred to watch from a distance. Being a dog rescue, I do not get much time to try and socialize with him and so he is still not used to being handled. He does however, take the lead from the other cats and will come and lie on the bed very close to me. If I put my hand out he will sniff and has on several times licked my fingers. He has on a few occasions let me stroke him. I do believe with some time and patience, he will learn and gain trust and be the cat that likes to snuggle.

STORMY would most likely adapt quicker with another cat so he can build confidence from watching them interact with humans, but as an only cat, as long as the family is understanding and patient I think he will adjust fine.

We are looking for a family that has time for a kitten and understands that cats can live on average for 13-14 years, however, it is not uncommon for cats to leave over 25 years and so this is a long term commitment.

Families must be prepared to provide cat trees and stimulation toys for the cats to play with and provide a healthy, mentally stimulating and fulfilling life.

All cats are fed a variety of wet and dry food, which varies in brands. They have clumping cat litter, but again varying brands and types from the clay to the more environmental friendly ground shells and such. They do not seem to be fussy!

ALL kittens are available for adoption for an adoption fee of $100

This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas, or other locations, countries to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada.

Due to borders being closed, it is up to families to call the US and Canadian borders to find the current details on border crossing. Animal Welfare is deemed essential in the US, but quarantine rules entering back into Canada must be followed.
